Ben 10 looks set to contend for xmas number one toy spot
Ben 10 is the hugely popular cartoon series about a young boy named Ben Tennyson who finds an alien wrist watch called the Omnitrix, a part of technologicially advanced alienware that grants the owner the power to fuse their body with an aliens DNA stored in the Omnitrix, metamorphosing their body into a alien powered weapon. The Ben 10 programme first appeared on our TV screens on the Cartoon Network five years ago and through its awesome popularity amongst fans, Ben 10 was extended into another three seasons, including Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and Ben 10 Alien Force.
As every year in the lead up to christmas, like every year the guessing game starts with all the great toy shops attempting to correctly guess this years most popular toy at christmas and now in the second half of the year the predictions are rolling out thick and fast. Unsurprisingly Ben 10 toys are noted highly on the list, a large competitor for the Christmas number 1 spot over the previous two years Ben 10 has never ever made it, but that is all set to change at xmas 2010. 2009's contention to be the top xmas toy was hot, during the months up to xmas last year Ben 10 discovered strong contention from the new hamster craze zhu zhu pets that was spreading across the world and if guestimates are firm it looks like Go Go pets and now their kung fu sidekicks Kung Zhu pets will be making a strengthened show, aswell as the renewed Power Rangers series. However this run up to christmas sees a new rival enter the area, the toy car munching garbage truck, Stinky the Garbage truck.
